Drive For A Cure
Drive For A Cure is an opportunity to live out the NBA Fantasy as players for a day. NBA legend, Dominique Wilkins, along with other local celebrities, will guide you and your colleagues as you compete on the floor of Philips Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks.

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease affecting approximately 30,000 children and adults in the United States. A defective gene causes the body to produce an abnormally thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections. These thick secretions also obstruct the pancreas, preventing digestive enzymes from reaching the intestines to help break down and absorb food.

Year Two Recap
Forty-eight men joined eight basketball celebrities at Philips Arena on Friday, March 17 to raise over $28,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Led by celebrity coaches including Dominique Wilkins, Roger Kaiser, Charlie Criss, Rickey Brown, Andrew Lang, Ivano Newbill, and Jim Washington, six teams competed in a round-robin tournament on the hardwood of Philips Arena.

Andrew Lang coached the PlyMart team to victory to give the team their second Championship title. The winning team included Chris Blalock of Loganville, Donnie Coe of Covington, Dennis Hopf & Jeff Kearney of Snellville, Chris Mahaffey of Norcross, Jim Mahaffey of Avondale Estates, and Matt Mahaffey of Atlanta. PlyMart defeated the Comcast team in a head-to-head battle.
